Q: How many strobes will I need?
A:
Want to know how many high intensity pest control strobes you might need to get rid of squirrels in the attic, roof rats / attic rats, bats in the attic and other pests in the attic - then click below:
Q: How much electricity do the strobes use?
A: Our pest control strobe lights use a mere 4.8 watts per strobe – a little less than the average night light.
Q: Is this product like the "ultrasonic" pest products I’ve heard about?
A: NO! Pest companies and academic professionals we have spoken with believe that those products do not work, or work only for a short time (2 to 3 days). Former and current pest control product inspectors for the Federal Trade Commission have tried to get the FTC to ban ultrasonic pest repellers because they do not work. The Federal Trade Commission has sent warning letters to all the manufacturers and retailers of these products telling them not to claim that these products work for pest control or they will be prosecuted. I have personally field tested one of these units and found it to be completely unsatisfactory. Rodent Strobe pest control strobe lights are based on proven scientific principles and technology. See our How it Works section for more information.
Q: How often will I have to replace the strobes?
A: Our current line of 400,000 candle-power pest control strobe lights have 10 year warrantees on each strobe light's internal electronics (located in the black housing of the strobe itself). All bulbs (located inside of the light house like clear lens casing) carry warrantees of 1 year, but field applications have often shown it is not unusual for them to operate for 4 or 5 years without a bulb replacement. I have personally seen 4 of the strobes in one application in which all four strobes had been running constantly for four years and eleven months when I observed them and each was flashing perfectly and all four had not had a single bulb change. In another application twelve of my strobes, in one very large home, have been running continually for almost three years now without a single bulb going out. With high intensity strobe lights it is the quality of the strobe's internal electronic which is the greatest factor in the bulb's life - My 400K Strobes' internal electronics have a ten year warranty.
Q: Why is strobe technology more effective and affordable than trapping and house sealing?
A: A typical house sealing and trapping can run from $900 to $2500.00+. Not only is it expensive, there is nothing to deter pests from coming back or future generations from following the scent trail of former pest. The scent trail left by urinating rats and squirrels can last for years. In test homes for our product, we saw squirrels reopen new holes into an attic that had been sealed only a short time before! In comparison, Rodent Strobe pest control strobe lights remain effective for years and cost a fraction of a professional house treatment.
Q: Can I put the pest control strobe lights anywhere I want to repel pests?
A: No. The same scientific principles that repel rodents, etc, also work on human eyes! The pest control strobe lights are intended to be placed in spaces that will not be viewed by humans, pets, or live stock on a temporary and/or regular basis. These include: attic spaces, crawl spaces, commercial spaces at night, restaurants and food industry, storage facilities, industrial areas, carports, around garbage bins etc.
Q: Do the pest control strobe lights cause physical damage to the pest?
A: No. While the pest control strobes are not pleasant for the pest, they do not cause permanent damage.
Q: What is the difference between pest control strobe lights and a generic strobe light?
A: Quality. Pest Control Strobe Lights have been proven through many endurance tests to be far more durable.
